Since its inception, Sodern has been a source for solutions based on innovation. The company has mainly developed know-how in physics (neutronics), electronics, mechanics, material science and manufacturing processes to offer equipment customised to its customers' requirements.
Especially:
- Neutron interrogation techniques: detection, material analysis
- Spectral processing 2D and 3D particle imaging
- Fast electronics for nuclear spectrometry
The company also participates in:
- The National and European Framework Program in the field of security to improve components and systems.
- Projects with various foreign Ministries of Defence and Ministries of the Interior.
In recent years, Sodern has involvement and R&D in landmine detection, hold luggage and maritime container inspection with various partners.
