Hold luggage screening (INES)
NEUTRON IMAGING FOR DETECTION OF EXPLOSIVES IN CARGO HOLDS
INES is a system that detects explosives contained in luggage or packages that are transported in aeroplane cargo holds. Developed to strength airport security, its first demonstration was successfully carried out in May 2008 on real explosives, witnessed by the CEA (French Atomic Energy Commission) and the DGAC (French Civil Aviation Authority).
