Infrared Imagers (microbolometer)
To answer operational and scientific requirements, since the end of the 90's, SODERN has initiated studies to introduce an innovative technology in its space products : the infrared uncooled microbolometers. Infrared imager, microbolometer.
Thanks to this technology, SODERN is able to propose a breakthrough in the IR imagers domain with high performing instruments offering very low mass, volume and power consumption as far as low cost.
The IASI sounder onboard MétOp and the CALIPSO satellite are the first missions to embark such imagers.
