Landmine detection (LND2G)
Sodern has been working with the Delegation Generale à l’Armement (the French Directorate General of Armament) in the field of landmine detection since the end of the 80s. With progress in electronics and computer technologies (more than in physics!), in 2004 a first demonstrator was tested under field conditions. By summer 2006 a sensor was embedded as a confirmation sensor in a military vehicle designed for land mine detection. This vehicle was designed and manufactured by Rheinmetall Landsysteme in a German (BWB) and French (DGA) cooperation project known as MMSR Sydera.
