SED36

SED36

The SED36 stems from the SED26 star tracker for the PLEIADES satellite application. It is a three axes autonomous star tracker with a separated optical head, baffle and electronic box. The optical head has been designed to provide a very high mechanical and thermal stability combined to low thermal dissipation. Specific algorithms have been developed to drastically improve low frequency errors.

SED36Six Flight Models (FM) have were delivered in 2006 in the framework of the PLEIADES mission. Thanks to the low power dissipation of this solution, it has been selected also for the KOMPSAT-3 Earth Observation program and the JAXA Planet-C spacecraft. This last one is flying towards Venus Planet since May 2010.
