Florence Parly, French minister of the Armed Forces, visited Sodern on Monday June 20th, accompanied by several members of parliament and defense officials.
The minister reviewed our military programs, which include very high resolution focal planes for French military satellites (CSO), star trackers for ballistic missiles, daytime star trackers for military planes, intrusion sensors for military satellites, and neutron technology for nuclear deterrence.
The minister stressed the strategic importance of our company to the French government, whose knowledge in deterrence-related neutron technology is irreplaceable, and praised the “resilience” of Sodern, whose dual activity is a strong asset in times of economic crisis.
At the end of her visit, the minister gave a speech in front of employees and invited guests. She expressed her "pride in finding here, in Sodern, such a concentration of skills, which our defense unconditionally needs". "To tell the truth", she added, "I’ve often been told about the ingenuity and the technical acumen of your systems, as well as the high degree of commitment of your teams".
